This bonafide UK actor did appear on the 1960's series 'The Avengers' with Macnee and Rigg. He also did 'The Ghost and Mr. Chicken' playing Mr. Kelsey.

He also even did Gunsmoke (didn't I say he was amazing). In his Gunsmoke ep he was totally smitten with the great Miss. Kitty. He was trying to driver her 'Long Branch' out of business so she would join him. While the LB was empty Kitty had a strange flashback to when it was full. The flashback was eerie and turned out to be just a fantasy as Matt was acting rowdy (or at least indifferent)in the fantasy in a way he would never for real.
