I was a fan of The Monkees - both the show and the band - when a kid.

Too sad for words to express.
Peter was one good all-around entertainer, who knew how to keep you focused upon his television program, as well as tuned into his band's hit records.
In addition, Peter also did a lot of behind-the-scenes production roles, and that only adds to his celebrity and pleasantly enduring personality.
