Have you seen Love Me or Leave Me? I think it's easily her finest performance, from those I've seen.

On my watch list. slight_smile

Love Calamity Jane relaxed

Oh, the Deadwood stage is a - coming on over the hills" Great stuff. Loved it too!

Yipee-I-oh Yipee I yay grin

  • That Touch of Mink
  • The Thrill of It All

Wow, no love for Teacher's Pet? That's the only Doris Day movie I've seen, and I loved her in it

In the wake of her passing, I realized I hadn't seen more of her work, so came here to ask what are people's favourite Doris Day movies, and found this thread already started - cool! So, I'll start with the recommendations from this thread. Thanks, y'all.

She was delightful and will be remembered.

Another wonderful film. relaxed

Doris Day almost didn't star in that. She'd been auditioning for the romantic musical "South Pacific (1958)" and lost the part of Nellie to Mitzi Gaynor. So then she decided on "Teacher's Pet (1958)".
