Had to repost these gems. All of them are from Bosslogic's account who has such a keen eye and talent for this kind of stuff. There is a capture of emotion and tone skill set there that I haven't seen often. So, very nicely done mate! Also, it's pretty cool to see what I would look like as Super Mario, Solid Snake and Geralt!!

He was my first meeting. I didn’t have writers or scripts yet – just a greenlight and a lot of passion. That was four months ago, and I’ve never forgotten the passion he brought. He IS Geralt. He always has been. I’m so thrilled to welcome HENRY CAVILL to the #Witcher family.

Finally! I was wondering when he was going to get another gig. The Witcher sounds interesting.

BBC

Geralt voice actor likes Henry Cavill casting

"I think he's going to be great," Doug tells Newsbeat. "He's going to have a blast!

"I hope he doesn't recreate my performance, actually. Partly because if he tries to recreate my vocal performance, he won't be being true to the Geralt that he needs to create.

"It sounds airy fairy and wishy washy, but as an actor you have to find the aspects of the character within yourself. That's how you find the truth of the character for your own performance.

"He's already fit. He's got the body for it. The youth to do many of the stunts.

"If we all just give him the space to do his thing and give that team our support, they're going to come up with something awesome that we'll go 'this is different - but you know what? It's cool!'"

Based on a popular Polish novel series, the games have scooped BAFTA nominations and sold over 33 million copies worldwide.

The Netflix series will draw heavily from the books instead of the games.

The development studio behind the games, CD Projekt Red, aren't involved in the Netflix production.

The first season of The Witcher on Netflix will be eight episodes long, and showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich has confirmed a pilot script is complete.

Don't expect to see it before 2020 though. In a series of tweets, Hissrich said: "Quality comes before speed."

Fresh from a stand-out turn in Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Henry Cavill will be saddling up for the epic fantasy series. Fittingly, he's a massive gamer who's previously outed himself as a huge fan of the series. Presumably he’ll be growing his moustache back out to play the grizzled hunter-for-hire - here’s hoping there are no surprise Superman reshoots on the horizon.

The first series on Netflix will consist of eight episodes, with the streaming service’s ‘See What’s Next’ social media account confirming that it will be based primarily on the books.

According to a recently found casting notice (not publicly accessible), Netflix’s Witcher series is looking for “a 16 or 15 year old BAME (black, Asian, minority ethnic) girl who can play down to 13/14.” The role is for Ciri, the whitest girl of all time in the games, and described as white in the books as well. Additionally, the listing actually seems to paint her, not Geralt, as the lead of the show: "We are looking for an extraordinary young talent to lead this series. She should be brave hearted and MUST have something truly special about her."

Hissrich previously said the show would include a diverse cast, trying to push back against the trope that fantasy can’t have non-white characters because of “historical accuracy,” and has reminded everyone that the original author, Andrzej Sapkowski, has no issue at all with his world being diverse.

My concern here is absolutely not for the sanctity of Ciri’s whitness. But I am instead worried about the young actress who lands this part, who will no doubt be the subject of untold amounts of online harassment.

Geralt has a beard in the games, not in the books. And the series will draw from the books. Thank god, because the ladies were whining and whining about the beard on the new site. rofl

They’re still complaining about HC’s MI stache. They want men to look like dolls. Please HC, look like a doll. The series can run for years and I don’t think I can handle so many women complaining for so long. rofl

Apparently, Lauren S. Hissrich (LSH) is taking a break from Twitter bc of the Ciri backlash.

It's time for a Twitter hiatus. The love here is amazing, and the hate is enlightening, like a real-life Trial of the Grasses, except I HAVE to read less and write more -- or we won't have a damn finale. Be back soon with more insight and more Roach. Be nice to each other, okay?

LSH explains why HC is the best choice.

This is important, and from my heart. I met Henry in April. Over the next four months, I met/reviewed hundreds of other potential leads, many of whom were amazing. But what I never forgot was Henry's deeply insightful understanding of Geralt's strength and brutality, and more importantly, his wit and vulnerability. Because as a fan of the franchise, Henry saw beyond the script pages. He saw the human connection that Geralt perpetually needs, even if he denies it, kicking and screaming at every turn. What I saw was Geralt's heart, in Henry.

What can I say? This world is full of bitter people. The only way they can be happy is when someone else is in pain or when they think they cause someone else pain.

I can proudly say that I’m not one of the whiners or complainers. stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes I made peace with King Stache a long time ago. It makes sense now why HC had to have a stache. All the bad guys in MI6 have either a beard or a mustache. HC is one of the bad guys. But he’ll look like a Ken doll with or without a stache. He shouldn’t have a beard though.

Former DC boss deletes Twitter after Zack Snyder fans attack

It all started late last week when former DC Entertainment president Diane Nelson tweeted her praise of the upcoming Joker movie after seeing director Todd Phillips’ reveal of Joaquin Phoenix’s character in full makeup.

“LOVE IT!” wrote the executive who ran DC Entertainment from 2009 to 2018. “Great story, great actor, specific and strong vision from talented director. What DC should have been doing since Nolan. Even if die hard fans struggle with his vision.#goodmoviesaregoodmovies“

…certain DC fans took it as a snub of the films made under Snyder’s purview of the franchise, such as Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Justice League.
