My head is spinning. I don't know what to say. Too much? The SM part sounds cool though.

Too many characters in a very complex story. Not suitable for a 2 hour film.

Is this script real? The only script I heard before Snyder’s take was from a script writing couple (their name escapes me) and that George Miller (who then went on to do the Mad Max reboot with Charlize Theron) was supposed to direct this new JL movie. Australian model, Megan Gale, was even reported to be Wonder Woman in this film. Somehow, the movie didn’t go ahead. This movie was supposed to be done around 2007. I don’t recognise Will Beal’s name.

The summary of the script has too many characters, characters that are likely not well known to the general audience who have not read DC comic books. It’s JL, and he uses Killer Croc a lot?? WW having a child with Batman? I don’t think even the comic books went there (though WW had a son with Superman in an alternative storyline). I can’t believe the studio would green light something with so many characters (most of them not well-known to the general public) and have character relationships not even supported in the main comic book line stories.

The summary reads more like a JL fan fiction.

I don't think I should be excited for Aquaman anymore.

Terrible!!!

How can writers write with executive morons bugging them?

But the script has been half-baked from the beginning, with reports saying that heroes (beyond the core five of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Green Lantern) have been cut and added from the proceedings seemingly at studio executive will. Source

Batman and Wonder Woman have a son

Did I not tell you that WB can't handle more than one hero in a film?

He's not the only writer.

I'm actually shocked that Ben Affleck considered directing this film. The script must be better than the highlights

Why didn’t JW and ZS talk about this? The DCEU is a universe and Aquaman is part of it. Writers and directors should work together, but they don't in the DCEU..

In response to a Hollywood Reporter piece about how Justice League paves the way for the Aquaman solo movie—which ended with a quip about how Justice League handled communication in Atlantis—Wan simply stated that there’d be no “air bubbles for dialogue” in his movie. Source

No one considered the idea of a movie universe back then. At least not on the scale of the MCU, seeing how it started sometime around 08'

I don't think WB wanted a DCEU when MOS came out. They rushed the DCEU because of MCEU.

Justice League fiasco may hurt Aquaman success. Link to article

The most important job of their current picture, in addition to making lots of money for the studio, was to tee up the James Wan-directed, Jason Momoa-starring picture about the undersea hero. But Justice League’s muddled story and thin characterization have left Arthur Curry and his trident-wielding alter ego adrift, a mere cipher without much personality.

Well, it must really suck to flop. It only has a $160,000,000 production budget.

It also puts pressure on Aquaman. Just read how much money WB will lose with JL.

It's hard not to conclude from this that making tentpole superhero movies for under $100 million is smart and that in most cases making them for $200 million or more is pretty dumb.
