I'm kind of 50-50 with it. I actually don't mind the dialogue and I thought the action sequences were great. I just wish I could see those action sequences and the characters better on the screen. I cannot understand why Zack Snyder acts like the Lego Batman (ie "I only work in black or very, very dark grey").

Also, after reading the JL comic books and also the straight-to-video DC animated JL movies (like "War" which seems to be what this movie is partially based on), the missing presence of Superman and the Green Lantern is a bit disappointing as they were part of the JL. And yes, the animated movies had better dialogue, storylines and more colour which Zach Snyder seems allergic to.

Don't know if it's me but I could barely hear him and my phone volume is at its highest. That being said I think I heard some of his accent slipping. Especially on one word.

It looks like his acting has improved. The accent was thick, but so far his performance wasn't too bad.

Wasn't so bad? Improved? Are you kidding me? That was awful. It sounded and looked as if it was dubbed in; it was just terrible all around. Did HC's lips even move?

Just saw the clip and came on here to see what others think of it. Poetist, you pretty much summed it right up. It's 'The Cold Light of Day' level of seriously cringe worthy acting !

To top it off, a British to an American Southern accent is an easier transition than a British to a midwestern American accent. However, I don't think it was the accent that torpedoed this. It was the poor acting and delivery. It seemed as if HC was in a rush to say his lines. I do wonder was this dubbed in for him, though.

I'm afraid all the small time actors on Sand Castle will be better then Henry. =( How in the hell will he do well in MI-6 alongside Tom? Unless he has no lines and is just in his group. He's not the main star of these two films, I wonder if he's not getting bigger roles because of his acting. I really like him in MFU, I'm disappointed that that short scene was so bad.

Well, I know a lot of HC fans were rooting for HC to be Gaston. Knowing HC's limitation, I don't think he could act the part let alone sing it. It seems the live action required a lot of energy from their actors, along with dancing, and singing. That's a tall order.

HC can do okay with no more than a short phrase or a sentence. Any more dialogue and he runs into dangerous territory.

That's pretty much it. Plus, he's not actively networking, which is an artform all of itself.

I didn't see MFU. From the trailers that I saw, I think he performed better in that movie, because the lines were short and then it was cut to action.

I'm disappointed that that short scene was so bad.

Holy bad delivery of lines!

After seeing that clip, all I could think of is whatever happened to that young actor who showed such promise in 4 seasons of The Tudors where he evolved from a self-centred pr!ck to someone who has shown more wisdom as he grew old in age? HC seems better of staying in good quality TV shows than most of the movies he starred in after The Tudor ended.

I'm wondering, why in the world did the producers decide to cast him? It's not as if they need his name to bring in more people to watch this movie. An American actor would've been better doing his role, while he could do another British period piece, although that Hulk figure probably won't help him get too many period pieces.

He has no business being in anything like that to be honest, not with this level of 'acting'. I can't even think of another current actor this bad.

That clip was worlds apart from the first trailer. It seems as if they were trying to be Oscar bait with the first trailer, and then HC and his crew peed on their parade.

As I said, I think HC will do okay delivering short phrases and a line. If he stays with his natural accent, he will be okay. It's just that he can't do any more than that.

From MI6, he is not the hero or the villain. What was said is that he will be part of Tom Cruise's crew. At most, he will deliver a line or two, but we see mostly TC and his stunts fighting off the bad guys.

I wonder if any director had ever advised him to get an acting coach because it's obvious he's not even a competent actor.
