I do wonder though if he can put on the cape in DC’s new streaming service. They have severa new live action series for their streaming service.

I read somewhere, Disney, who is also creating their own streaming service showing exclusively all their stuff, is planning to produce a limited series on the Scarlet Witch with Elizabeth Olson, the Scarlet Witch in the Avengers movies. They’re also planning a limited Loki series with Tom Hiddleston. It’s quite something that Disney is planning these limited series for their streaming service with the original movie actors. But then Disney/Marvel had done a better job building their universe and have placed possible TV appearances for their movie actors.

It would be interesting if WB/DC can do something similar for their DC actors and characters, but then would HC ever want to wear the cape for a limited TV series for a streaming service?

I noticed Disney is using B/C-list actors for this, and they are more than happy to work. A quick search on their IMDB shows little to no film activity other than their franchise work.

Actually, I wouldn’t consider Hiddleston or Olson C- actors. Hiddleston and Olson have received accolades for their work outside of the MCU, either in independent movies or in serious TV — Hiddleston in the critically acclaimed ‘Night Manager’ and Olson received great reviews for the indies she’s done (probably the reason she got the Marvel gig, like Brie Larson). Both are actually part of another franchise — the big monster movies — King Kong (Skull Island) and the latest Godzilla movies which Universal is planning to continue. I think Hiddleston may have starredin the UK theatrical stage too. In other words, both have tried to go down the artistic and serious acting route and franchise route, and have received critical acclaim for their work. Something HC has never achieved or tried to do until Nomis and Sandcastle because as he said, he’s only in for the money.

Disney, I heard, had placed conditions in their actors’ contracts to show up on TV. Perhaps not for all, but some have already appeared on the Disney/Marvel TV series. As this is Disney, I wouldn’t be surprised if the production values will be almost on par as their movies. With a limited series, character and plot development would be more fleshed out.

A lot of movie actors are going to the streaming route as the quality of the shows offered, script and acting offered is better than in the movies. Just read Chris Evans is doing a non-Disney limited series for Apple which he is producing (I think).

Hmmm... it seems too early for an eight-episode TV show, but HC did say on his IG post that he is gone to meet Roach, the horse in the Witcher. I just wonder if he's splitting town early to take his mind off of things. I say this because the director is still doing storyboarding stuff and major casting isn't complete.
