Her performance in Mother is amazing! She'll definitely be nominated.

She carries this movie and delivers an incredibly nuanced performance.

It is one of her best performances to be sure, but with a movie this divisive and weird, the older voters in the Academy would never go for it. She's got a snowball's chance in hell in my opinion--I don't even see her getting nominated.

Normally I'd agree with you, but Aronofsky is kind of a darling of the Academy, so I think she has a pretty good chance.

Well, I want you to be right and me wrong! They seem to be campaigning a little bit for it, it seems.

I agree. It's an incredible performance, and she previously got a nomination for Joy, a movie the Academy didn't care for, so it shows they are willing to overlook the movie in deference to her performance.
Either way, it will cement her reputation as one of Hollywood's premier talents.

Good point.
Definitely.

Agreed. She is one of the best actresses working today, and Mother showcases that.
I think the Academy members, on average, are considerably more intelligent than the retard fans who make superhero "films" so popular, and will vote accordingly. Most professional reviews of her performance have been very positive.

Well said. Whether they liked the movie or not, most people I know, or reviews I've read, praise Jennifer's performance. The only people who seem to criticize her work in this movie are the same neckbeards who rave about Justice League, Wonder Woman, etc. I think they get triggered by bad memories of the type of girl they were looked down upon by in high school or something.

Yep, and now he's stalking you too.
Psycho alert!
I wonder how long before the stalker flies in here again and flips out over this post?

Only 11 minutes, apparently. What a psycho.
He tried to troll this thread and no one replied to him, so now he's crying, claiming he got trolled into stalking us. Hahaha
Could he be more pathetic?

No. He couldn't. He trolls himself. Both the JLaw and Mother board are littered with unanswered troll threads he made or ones where he relentlessly stalked posters, came unglued, and then started reporting their posts. lol
What's really funny though, is he proved your point. He's claiming a comic book movie helmed by a so-so looking model/wooden "actress" is some sort of feminist work of art, lol.
I think Jennifer's chances are good as long as the Academy doesn't start admitting 25 yr old virgin, internet trolls. I just pray the psycho doesn't go all Mark David Chapman on her ass.

Hahaha you weren't kidding when you said this idiot trolls himself. Look at the little freak go!
He can't help himself. No one's even replying to him. He's legit insane.

I know, it's hilarious.
But it's just a matter of time before the little creep slaughters Jennifer. : (
