Mélanie Thierry began her career as a sought-after child and teen model in France, then moved into acting. She began with a series of roles in French productions, choosing her parts carefully as most of them were critically acclaimed. Not long thereafter, the actress scored an international crossover hit at age 18 as the love interest of ship-bound Danny Boodman T.D. Lemon 1900 in The Legend of 1900. She also appeared opposite Rufus Sewell in two episodes of the popular BBC costume drama Charles II: The Power and The Passion, playing the king's French mistress Louise de Kérouaille.

Thierry made her Hollywood debut in the 2008 film Babylon A.D., as Aurora.

Sa création du personnage schizophrène du Vieux Juif blonde, d'Amanda Sthers, en 2006, a reçu des commentaires positifs des critiques. Le 27 février 2010, elle obtient le César du meilleur espoir féminin pour son rôle de Magali dans Le Dernier pour la route.

Mélanie Thierry (* 17. Juli 1981 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Yvelines) ist eine französische Schauspielerin und Model.

Mélanie Thierry begann ihre Karriere als jugendliches Model in Frankreich, bevor sie sich der Schauspielerei zuwandte. Sie spielte zuerst in französischen Produktionen, die außerhalb Frankreichs jedoch keinen Erfolg verbuchen konnten. Im Alter von 17 Jahren machte sie als Darstellerin in Die Legende vom Ozeanpianisten auf sich aufmerksam. Ihr erster Hollywoodfilm war Babylon A.D. (2008). Für ihre Titelrolle in der Pariser Theaterinszenierung des Tennessee-Williams-Stücks Baby Doll wurde sie 2009 für den wichtigsten französischen Theaterpreis Molière nominiert. Im Jahr darauf erhielt sie für ihre Rolle in Philippe Godeaus Spielfilm Le dernier pour la route den César als beste Nachwuchsdarstellerin.

Thierry hat mit dem Sänger Raphaël Haroche zwei Söhne (* 2008 und * 2013).
