While I admire and enjoy A Room with a View and Maurice very much, The Remains of the Day is my favourite of their films. Such a subtle, moving film with career-best performances by Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson.
Howard's End, while it certainly had its moments (Vanessa Redgrave walked away with the picture in her brief role), left me a little cold by comparison, and while the two lead performances were superb, Mr. & Mrs. Bridge I found rambling and largely unengaging.
