Rupert Friend (born October 1, 1981) is an English film actor, who is best known for his roles as Mr. Wickham in the 2005 film Pride and Prejudice, Lieutenant Kurt Kotler in the 2008 film The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, and Prince Albert in the 2009 film The Young Victoria.

Urodził się i dorastał w Stonesfield w hrabstwie Oxfordshire jako syn Caroline, prawniczki, i Nicholasa Frienda, historyka sztuki. Uczęszczał do Marlborough School w Woodstock. Naukę kontynuował w Cherwell School i d'Overbroeck's College w Oxfordzie[7]. Studiował aktorstwo na Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts w Londynie. Po swoim debiucie kinowym w dramacie kostiumowym Rozpustnik (The Libertine, 2004) otrzymał nominację do nagrody British Independent Film (BIFA). W 2005 roku w Los Angeles odebrał nagrodę Satelity.

W styczniu 2006 roku zaręczył się z Keirą Knightley, którą poznał się na planie filmu Duma i uprzedzenie (Pride & Prejudice, 2005), gdzie zagrał pana Wickhama. W 2013 roku poznał amerykańską sportsmenkę, aktorkę i modelkę Aimee Mullins, z którą w grudniu 2014 się zaręczył, a 1 maja 2016 roku wzięli ślub.
