Growing up I always enjoyed the Batman series. RIP Mr. West.

That's so strange I literally just saw him while watching an episode of 30 Rock. "I was told I'm getting a free meal" loved it.

He seemed like such a classy, humble guy that knew his limitations as an actor and appreciated the fame that came to him. He's a model for other actors, in my opinion, and was one-of-a-kind. He'll be missed.

i remember him on the king of queens. he was funny, making spence get out of the car on the highway and asking for gas money.

RIP Adam West, loved you in Batman and Family Guy.

Reruns of the Batman series are currently shown in the United States on the classic TV networks Heroes & Icons on Saturday mornings, MeTV on Saturday nights (midnight and 12:30 am tonight), weekdays dubbed in Spanish on TeleXitos, as well as Saturday mornings on IFC.

Near the end of the third season, Batman ratings had dropped significantly, and ABC cancelled the show. But NBC had agreed to take over the series and was ready to continue. Before that could happen, it was discovered that someone had destroyed the Batman sets which cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to build, and the deal with NBC was lost.

Adam West was hilarious on Batman, while playing it straight. I loved his slow, drawn out explanations of how he figured out how to get out of impossible situations. R.I.P.

R.I.P. I loved his show as a kid - and he was a hilarious, deadpan Batman.

^ This. And his delivery when explaining the importance of road safety, not jaywalking, etc to Robin 😂 Great stuff - oh, and the pausing whilst climbing buildings to chat to whichever guest star opened the window...
