I always really enjoyed (still do) those Hitch intros/outros to his t.v. series. He created for himself a highly entertaining eccentrically droll public persona, that he stuck with and went for to very amusing effect.
Here are some examples: Hitchcock Openings & Closings
According to interviews I've seen with his granddaughter, Hitch wasn't actually the weird person he publicly portrayed himself as, instead had a "normal" type personality in real life.

Yes, I enjoyed the style. I would watch as a kid on the old Nick at Nite station and always was interested in his show.

Btw, episodes of that series (Alfred Hitchcock Presents) air on MeTV every weeknight from 1-2a.m. (Eastern). I enjoy catching an episode or two every now and then.

Yes, my family and I are currently watching Alfred Hitchcock Presents on DVD. We just finished Season 3 the other night. I love the intros and outros to the show as well, and oftentimes just have to shake my head and laugh at some of them. The one I remember most vividly (I have no clue why) is the intro that opens with Hitch in a large bathtub overflowing with bubbles. He is reading a magazine and then he looks up at the camera and says, "No, this is not an attempt on our part to add sex to the program."
