I'm a fan of Boardwalk Empire but......

BE Spoilers ahead:

when they killed off Jimmy Darmody, I was ready to quit the show because Pitt was carrying this series for 2 seasons, he was the focus & he was charismatic, plus he was the most interesting character on BE. But I usually give show's a season to change my mind (unless it's really bad from the getgo like Spartacus) so decided to check season 3. And that was the first time I encountered Bobby Cannavale as Gyp Rosetti. All my doubts about BE, my disappointments and perhaps resentment even for killing off a great central character was instantly forgotten whenever Gyp was on screen. He was a sociopath quick to kill, torture, & maim yet he was riveting to watch & entertaining on a whole new level. It's strange that they were able to bring forth this sadistic, scary, & crazy character and yet make you smile or laugh every time he opened his mouth or reacted to anything really. Cannavale blew me away, he reminded of characters that Pacino, De Niro, and Pesci played yet unique still and was a breath of fresh air where we no longer see such characters since the 90s. I instantly loved the character, his introduction was fantastic and truly said everything about who Gyp Rosetti was.

What other films or shows of his would you recommend where he plays a prominent part? To give you an idea of my taste, of the films he was in that I liked above are:

BTW, he really is quite hot, lol! I can't think of any American actor quite like him today, he reminds me a lot of Pacino actually. Plus he does theatre too though not to Pacino's extent. I can't wait for The Irishman to come out! Happy he will be in it, and hope he will be Scorsese's muse instead of DiCaprio (I never liked LDC tbh).
