When I was a kid, I always thought Tiny Tim, singing "Tiptoe Through the Tulips", was the funniest thing ever, anytime he'd appear on t.v. performing it. Tiny Tim was certainly a unique entertainer back then!
Here's a YouTube clip of him singing the mentioned song.
I also always enjoyed seeing and hearing about him and his beloved Miss Vicki - whom he married on The Tonight Show in 1969.
Here's the Wikipedia article about Tiny Tim.

Good that T Tim tickles the funnybone. Always thought he was kind of scary except for his respect for Miss Vickie and Baby Tulip.
Heard that Baby Tulip is constantly bullied in the schoolyard and wants to change her name, but guess that would be up to Miss Vickie to sign the slip.
Wow, that was 50 years ago when Miss Vickie married T Tim on Tonight Show, 50 years! And that ukulele. T Tim does his own accompaniment.

I think Tiny Tim was the only person on t.v. playing a uke and singing falsetto back then, not to mention reviving a song from 1929.
By the way, from the 1:00 mark, here's the original version (which quickly became a #1 Pop hit in 1929) of "Tiptoe Through the Tulips", introduced in the film Gold Diggers of Broadway.
