Diljeet Mirza was a famous film producer, director and comedian. His first film as an actor and comedian was Qatil in 1955. He was seen in more than 70 films as an actor.

He produced and directed his first film Barsat Mein in 1962. Rawaj (1965), Janab-e-Aali (1968) and Thah (1972) were some of his famous films as director. He also introduced his son Dilawar in film Ruqqa in 1992.
