The French actress Stephane Audran has died aged 85.
I loved her work in a number of films - notably Le Boucher (one of numerous movies by her husband Claude Chabrol), The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie and Babette's Feast.
In the past year or so we have lost Emmanuelle Riva, Jeanne Moreau and Danielle Darrieux, now Audran... so many of the great French actresses are no longer with us.

It's sad learning of Miss Audran's passing (I hadn't been aware till seeing this thread). I've always loved her performance as Kara in the Brideshead Revisited miniseries; she's wonderful in that superb production.
Meanwhile, she certainly was always a tremendously talented actress, as well as an exquisitely gorgeous woman.

Je me souviens le film "Madeline (1998)" où elle jouait Lady Marie-Gilberte Covington.
Elle était une actrice inoubliable, au charme sophistiqué, élégant et toujours discret.
R.I.P.
