There is one single likeness of Joan of Arc Her head was shaped somewhat like a 20th basketball with her nose sticking out the most and her mouth below way in back. Price script-stated in the film 'House of wax' there were no authentic portraits of Jeanne d'Arc from her lifetime but actually, as you see, there was one. Now, Price was an art historian before he became a film actor, so therefore did he know about Joan's one single authentic portrait in real life at this time?

Is this the portrait you've referred to?
I bet it is, as it seems to match what you described.
Regarding that depiction, I found the following text:

That painting you pointed out dates from like 20 years after her death. I am talking about drawing (not painting) of her from her very lifetime!

It says the artist never saw her but it is possible that someone who did see her described her accurately to him.

That does, indeed, look decidedly earlier than the other depiction.
