Biography |
Lyna Khoudri (born 3 October 1992) is an Algerian-French actress. In 2017, she won the Orizzonti Award for Best Actress at the 74th Venice International Film Festival for her role in the Sofia Djama-directed film Les Bienheureux (The Blessed). In 2020, she won the César Award for Most Promising Actress for her performance in Papicha. In 2021, she portrayed a student activist in Wes Anderson's The French Dispatch. In 2023, Khoudri portrayed Constance Bonacieux in The Three Musketeers: D'Artagnan and The Three Musketeers: Milady. Khoudri has been a brand ambassador for the French fashion house Chanel since 2022. Née le 3 octobre 1992 à Alger. Son père était alors journaliste à la télévision algérienne et sa mère professeure de violon. La famille quitte l'Algérie pour Aubervilliers à la suite de la guerre civile. Elle obtient un Bac théâtre puis une licence d'arts du spectacle. Elle est admise au Théâtre national de Strasbourg mais doit y renoncer pour tenir un rôle dans le long métrage Les Bienheureux, de Sofia Djama. Pour ce rôle, elle obtient à la Mostra de Venise 2017 le prix de la meilleure actrice, dans la section Orrizonti. César du meilleur espoir féminin pour son rôle en 2020 dans Papicha, elle s'est tout particulièrement investie pour ce rôle, travaillant pendant plusieurs années en lien avec sa réalisatrice Mounia Meddour, qui reçoit à cette occasion le César du meilleur premier film. |
