¨He was known for his roles in romantic comedies opposite Doris Day -- most famously 1959 ¨Pillow Talk¨ with Doris Day. Before that he had dramatic performances in Magnificent Obsession (1954) and Giant (1956) for which he earned his single Academy Award nomination¨.

Seems surprising that Rock doesn't have a US postage stamp after all these years, with as big of a star as he was.

Not even Elizabeth Taylor has a stamp yet either but I´ve seen that a request to grant her a stamp was submitted to the USPS in 2017. It will take like another year for the stamp to be issued. According to Post Office guidelines for stamp selection process , there is a three years wait for the USPS Committee to review and approve requests .

During his heyday, Rock Hudson was for years extremely popular, and I think he remains well-liked and appreciated. At the time of his late-life health decline, and due to the "climate" back then, his image and standing did take quite a beating, though I think he's posthumously bounced back to being in fully good public standing since then.
No doubt he'll be approved for a USPS stamp. Perhaps if not solely of him then of him with Doris Day, now that they're both gone.

Yes, Doris and Rock most likely would appreciate the other's gaining appreciation by way of a USPS stamp, and probably even more to their liking sharing the spotlight together once again.

I definitely could totally see them appearing together on a commemorative stamp. That would be good!

Good idea about sharing commemorative stamp now that you could get more than one star for the high price of a postage stamp.
Loads of good ideas from Hollywood pairings.
