Biography

Born in Rome, Italy, on Oct 16th 1976, I grew up and studied in international schools from kindergarten to the middle school, learning english and merging my Italian heritage with a broader, international perspective. I then completed my education in an italian high school and attended University at La Sapienza for 4 years. Film-making runs in my family, as my father, Dardano Sacchetti, is a well known screenplay writer: storytelling and creativity are the corner stone of our family and obviously an extremely important part of my upbringing. Professionally speaking, I have been working as an Asst. Director on many feature films and commercials since 1999, including international productions in Italy and around the world such as 'Gangs of New York'; 'Black Hawk Down'; 'The Passion'; 'The Italian Job'; 'Angels in America', 'Angels & Demons', with directors like Martin Scorsese, Ridley Scott, Mel Gibson, Mike Nichols, Ron Howard, Abel Ferrara. In advertising, some of the most important campains i have worked on include: 'Ferrari', 'Martini', 'Mastercard', 'Coca Cola', 'Bmw', 'Bridgestone', 'Vodafone', 'Philips', 'Gilette', 'Renault', 'Nokia', 'Chanel' and many others. I have always kept my eyes and ears wide open, trying to 'steal' a few secrets here and there from all the great directors, dop's and crew members I have had the honor to work with and have also been working on directing my personal projects in the meantime.
