Jan Philip Cramer is an award-nominated visual effects supervisor and one of the industry's leading and most innovative animation directors.

Over a 15-year career at Digital Domain, Phil has become renowned for his expertise in photorealistic creatures, facial animation, and full CG characters. As both Head of Animation and Animation Director, he has led some of the world's top animation teams, consistently pushing the boundaries of what's possible in visual effects. His forward-thinking approach has streamlined traditional VFX workflows, resulting in more efficient pipelines without compromising quality.

Phil's work has earned multiple industry accolades, including a VES Award for his groundbreaking animation of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. At Digital Domain, he oversaw animation on 43 projects spanning feature films, episodic series, games, and advertising. His credits include major titles such as Deadpool, Ender's Game, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and Avengers: Endgame, where he served as Animation Director. Earlier in his career, he was also the animation lead on James Cameron's Avatar at Weta.

Now working full-time as a visual effects supervisor, Phil recently led Digital Domain's VFX work on Marvel Studios' She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. His efforts on the series earned him a VES Award nomination for Best Animated Character and a Silver Telly Award.
