Discuss Roger Deakins

If he doesn't win this year, perhaps he never will. So much of the visual beauty of Blade Runner 2049 has stuck with me months later. I guess it will be tight with The Shape of Water and Dunkirk, which have the Best Picture advantage, but this was truly astounding work.

Let's hope that 14th is the charm. Though my favourite is The Shape of Water.

The Shape of Water is out here in two weeks and I am looking forward to it. Del Toro’s films do tend to be very beautiful, particularly The Devil’s Backbone, one of the most breathtakingly gorgeous movies of the last twenty years.

So happy for him! Very well deserved. I honestly believe that his work on Blade Runner 2049 is among the best of his distinguished career. One of the best looking films of recent years.

The competition was tough, but 14th is the charm relaxed , he finally won tada champagne
