Ja'Net - such a lovely lady with wonderful and refreshing talent for acting, singing, comic timing, and pleasant interviewing.

She will be missed. My sympathies cherry_blossom

R.I.P.

I remember her.

RIP.

I'm getting kind of nervous. Quite a few people from my general age range are 'shuffling off this mortal coil'! Does this mean I have to give up BACON?

Uh-oh! Well, avoid walking under any tall ladders or crossing black cats or opening any umbrellas indoors, and you'll probably be fine. wink

Yes! and also avoid Limbo-ing under any small ladders, or tossing polecats, or bludgeoning the door with an umbrella, or you'll probably be fined. sweat

Thanks for the advice all.

RIP, Ms. DuBois. She had a positive energy on the show, and I recently heard that she sang the theme song to "The Jeffersons."

That's neat, Cell!

I just now checked Wikipedia, to see if that's mentioned, and sure enough it is:

Ja'Net DuBois and Jeff Barry co-wrote The Jeffersons theme song, "Movin' on Up", which was sung by DuBois with a gospel choir.

Woulda never known that had you not mentioned it, Cell!

Tell me about it, plant. For decades, I thought that the woman who played "Weezie," George Jefferson's wife, sang the song! Her speaking voice and the singing voice on the theme sound a lot alike to me!
