Bateadores cuenta la historia de dos hermanos gemelos, César y Carlos. Éstos, a pesar de ser gemelos, son muy diferentes. César es serio, responsable y estudioso, y resulta irresistible a las chicas, al ser la estrella del equipo de béisbol, el Mei Sei, pero sobretodo es un gran amigo. Carlos, en cambio, es un chico rebelde y gandul, tan esporádico y natural que cae bien sin intentarlo, pero no es responsable y esto le trae muchos problemas.

En la era Taisho de Japón. Tanjiro, un joven que se gana la vida vendiendo carbón, descubre un día que su familia ha sido asesinada por un demonio. Para empeorar las cosas, su hermana menor Nezuko, la única superviviente de la masacre, ha sufrido una transformación en demonio. Destrozado por los acontecimientos Tanjiro decide convertirse en un cazador de demonios para poder devolver a su hermana a la normalidad y matar al demonio que masacró a su familia.

Shunsuke Aoba has just transferred to a new school and can’t wait to attend. Excitedly, he sprints to the school but, upon arrival, finds that no one is there. Unfortunately, Shunsuke didn’t know that his first day was a holiday, of all things. However, it seems that he is not the only one on campus. As he is about to eat his lunch, he meets a student named Natsumi. Shunsuke gives her some of his food, and the two strike up a conversation. Natsumi was born as a so-called SL girl, a particularly tall girl. She herself accepts her specialness but is rejected by many of her classmates. How will Shunsuke react to this? Will their initial friendship continue?

Daichūshingura is a television dramatization of the events of the Forty-seven Ronin. The first episode aired on January 5, 1971, and the 52nd and final episode appeared on December 28 of the same year. The NET network broadcast it in the Tuesday evening 9:00–9:56 prime-time slot in Japan.

The series featured an all-star cast. The central actor was Toshiro Mifune, who portrayed Ōishi Kuranosuke; Yoko Tsukasa his wife; and kabuki actor Onoe Kikugorō VII their son Chikara.
