The translated title field should be left blank and locked when the translated title is the same as the original title. Please do not re-add the original title as a translated title.

The original title is "十二生肖", so since the zh-cn is identical the translated title field for that translation is left blank.

I understand what you mean now, but the fact is, if the translated title be locked and blank, even the website default language I use the zh-CN, The title in this movie's website not the original title "十二生肖", but the english name "Chinese Zodiac", I don't know why, is it very stange or it's a website's bug? Since I can't upload screenshots here, so I can't demonstrate this right away.

BTW: who can fix the duplicate movie and actor/actress's problem? I report some for long time but no one fix it.

I thought about it last night before I falling sleep, and I think you're wrong. TMDB is a localizable website, how to made it?

The MOST IMPORTANT thing is: Strings cannot automatically recognize the language type, whatever you use Chinese, English, French, Korean, it is just a strings for the system

A part of data could be localizabed in the background, like the jobs, The website programmer provides English, and the user selects the language and translates it, I translate a lots jobs to Simplified Chinese, for example, "Director" in Simplified Chinese is "导演", but if I use the Japanese or Korean translate "Director" under the category of Simplified Chinese, the user who choose use the "zh-CN" language will found the place that it is not Simplified Chinese that appears where “导演” should appear, because the strings can't recognize the language type automaticly, can you understand this?

Another part of the data that can be translated locally is in the "Edit" function of the corresponding page in the foreground, everybody in TMDB can do it, they based on the language in which the user chooses to display the website, for example, I choose the "zh-CN" to browse the site, then this part of data I edit will be under the category of Simplified Chinese, like the Movie's local title, staff's profile, etc... That's why the title of these editable content is followed by a parenthetical bracket to indicate the language category.

The rest of the editable parts are non-localized, No matter what language the user chooses, the message they see is the same, and I think the original title is belong this category.

Back to this movie, the data of this movie's original title is not the most important, no matter what you type, all users see the same thing, just the difference between right and wrong. But the title on the right side of the movie's poster is using the "Local Title", if a user who choose the "zh-CN" edit this part to “十二生肖”, then all the user who choose the "zh-CN" will see the movie's name is “十二生肖”, but you locked it for the "zh-CN" user.

As for why users who choose "zh-CN" will see English titles, it is because of users who choose zh-CN's defalut fallback language is English, and if you choose English to browse TMDB, you will found this movie's "Translated Title (English)" is unlock and the content is "Chinese Zodiac", and if a user who choose the website default language is "zh-CN", use the Germany as his fallbak language, then he will see “Armour of God - Chinese Zodiac” as this movie's title, it's the same reason. That's why we can't lock the movie's local title.

The original title will not be recognized to it's language automaticly!

Thanks, pls test it then you will found it. thanks
