The basic premise of a mysterious killer on a rampage is usually fairly interesting and to add a twist to it they add time travel to the mix. The time travel is aspect is largely underused and you will quickly forget it is supposed to be the 1980's where the majority of the film takes place and there is very little in the movie to make you think it is the 80's. Hell, the main way they want to point out it's the 80's is by showing various things the contemporary female hero finds problematic and politically incorrect and you have a bunch of really unfunny scenes where she gets to show how woke she is. It's largely done with the subtlety of a jackhammer like the following dialogue where one of the cool chicks comments to her: "What you thought we were just going to "lez" out all weekend?" To which the female hero responds :"Gross. I mean what you said was gross. Not gay people. Gay people are amazing, your comment had homophobic undertones."
Anyways as far as the killer goes: wasn't the principal something like 1.90 meters+ tall and you can see him towering over the lead actress in the beginning even though he seems to be lurching forward. However when you see the killer attack her in costume they are largely the same size. Now I realize they don't want you to guess who the killer is, but come on now.
