Holy crap, just watched this again for the nth time and found the opening scene of Elijah's birth heartbreaking. The performances from all involved were spot on, especially Eamonn Walker as the doctor who notices poor baby Elijah's injuries from the trauma of childbirth. "Did you drop this baby?"
I consider this film a top 100 easy and probably a top 50, and it is certainly MNS's best IMO. I have not seen Split yet, as everything he's done since Signs has been a disappointment, but I am considering it.

I certainly agree about the performances. Pretty sure I own it in most formats. I love the comic book feel without all the flashiness that usually accompanies it. After signs I just felt like the stories sucked. I've heard a ton of great things about split from friends. We shall see.

Not to mention James Newton Howard's score. I got chills when Bruce climbed [spoiler]out of the pool[/spoiler] and the heroic theme swelled.
I'm gonna go on record and say it's my favorite [spoiler]super hero[/spoiler] movie.
Hope those spoiler tags work, although they're not huge...

Split was good. Very scary. I liked Unbreakable, probably his second best, because there's no way it's better than the Sixth Sense. That's his best. Signs is still his third best.

So I rewatched this one last night to prepare for 'Glass' (I hadn't seen it since I saw it in theaters back in 2000)...
...I was never crazy about it, and after a rewatch it STILL didn't really blow me away, granted its definitely unique, and I'm still interested on how they're gonna get the 'hero' and the 'villian' together in Glass, but defintely not my Top 100 or even 200 for that matter...something was definitely missed by me, because even Tarantino loves this movie!
