The first is much better in my opinion but I enjoy Destroyer also, despite some rather silly sequences. It would have been a lot better had it not been watered down to get a PG rating.

You used to get away with more in a PG movie back then, these days it would be considered too much for a PG13!

I ended up watching the Blu-ray a few days ago and you are right. There is a fair amount of splatter. A nice decapitation also! But the overall tone is very lightweight compared to the first. Still a fun time passer. That fight scene between the wizard and Conan is still hilariously cringe worthy. I would have loved to have seen it get the MST3K treatment.

It's got Grace Jones in it, so it can't be all bad.

Wow. I really used to enjoy this guy's non-pretentious film reviewing, back when I could see it on the tube. Very cool.
