Any 1995. La Zahia Ziouani té 17 anys i somia amb ser directora d'orquestra. La seva germana bessona, la Fettouma, és violoncel·lista professional. 1995年，17 歲的 Zahia 和她的雙胞胎妹妹 Fettouma 熱愛音樂成痴，將古典交響樂視為生命的一切。然而，有着阿爾及利亞裔的身分並生活在巴黎市郊貧民區，她們要實現成為一名交響樂團指揮和一名大提琴手的夢想可説是難於登天。不過，在夢想、熱情與勇氣的鞭策下，她們建立了自己的管弦樂團「嬉戲交響樂團」（Divertimento）。自此，遊戲規則便一下子被改變了。

’95–’96, year of high school. Only 17 years old, Zahia Ziouni becomes aware that her dream of becoming a conductor and her ambition to make symphonic music accessible to all and in all territories, will go through the creation of an orchestra unique in its diversity and composition. Helped by her twin sister Fettouma, a cellist, and while she was about to conduct her very first concert, she created the Divertimento orchestra. The latter still exists and, at 44 years old, Zahia is now a conductor recognized worldwide.

À 17 ans, Zahia Ziouani rêve de devenir cheffe d’orchestre. Sa sœur jumelle, Fettouma, violoncelliste professionnelle. Bercées depuis leur plus tendre enfance par la musique symphonique classique, elles souhaitent à leur tour la rendre accessible à tous et dans tous les territoires. Alors comment peut-on accomplir ces rêves si ambitieux en 1995 quand on est une femme, d’origine algérienne et qu’on vient de Seine-Saint-Denis ? Avec détermination, passion, courage et surtout le projet incroyable de créer leur propre orchestre : Divertimento.

Mit 17 Jahren träumt Zahia Ziouani (Oulaya Amamra) davon, Dirigentin zu werden. Ihre Zwillingsschwester Fettouma (Lina El Arabi) ist professionelle Cellistin. Seit ihrer frühesten Kindheit sind die beiden von klassischer Symphoniemusik begeistert und wollen sie nun ihrerseits für alle und in allen Regionen zugänglich machen. Wie also kann man 1995 diese so ehrgeizigen Träume verwirklichen, wenn man eine Frau ist, algerische Wurzeln hat und aus Seine-Saint-Denis kommt? Mit Entschlossenheit, Leidenschaft, Mut und vor allem dem unglaublichen Vorhaben, ihr eigenes Orchester zu gründen: Divertimento.

열일곱 살 쌍둥이 자매 자히아와 페투마에게 클래식 교향곡은 삶의 전부나 다름 없다. 쌍둥이는 오케스트라 지휘자와 첼리스트라는 각자의 꿈을 이루기 위해 고군분투하지만, ‘파리 교외에 사는 이민자 출신‘이라는 꼬리표는 그들의 앞길을 자꾸만 가로막는다. 결국 자히아와 페투마는 ‘디베르티멘토’라는 오케스트라를 직접 만들기로 결심한다.
