Twee jonge lifters worden opgepikt door Pam (Rosanna Arquette) die een beetje last heeft van een zware voet waardoor ze als een halve gek door het platteland raast. Wanneer ze worden tegengehouden steekt Pam de schuld op de twee jonge lifters. Ze worden veroordeeld tot 6 maanden gevangenisstraf. Maar Pam krijgt schuldgevoel en beslist om hen uit de gevangenis te breken.
