So this just means, the sources you’ve found are wrong (and maybe they all copy wrong data from the same, wrong source).
In German (de-DE) it has to be "großen"! You can look for the official rule of the language (§ 25 https://grammis.ids-mannheim.de/rechtschreibung/6180), look to the appended word list (https://grammis.ids-mannheim.de/rechtschreibung/6351) or just look into a dictionary (e.g. https://de.wiktionary.org/wiki/gro%C3%9Fen, or https://www.duden.de/rechtschreibung/grosz, but with enormous tracking!).
