I never knew anything about any comic book so I can only judge what I see on the screen. I really enjoyed this movie. I like the actors/characters. I especially liked Michael Wincot as the villain. I loved not just the music but the score as well. Somewhere on the old IMDB board for The Crow, a user posted a YouTube link to the complete score. Wondering if anyone remembered that.

Hi there; I love this movie too! Packed with atmosphere, I think it succeed in all its aims. Incredibly charismatic performance from Brandon (his best, I feel) and the soundtrack choices "can't be beat."
I just found these results for the complete score on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=complete+score+of+the+crow

I've been listening to the videos on that link a lot lately. In the recommended lists, was this one.
Amy Lee - "Love Exists"
The song is a remake of this one.
Francesca Michielin - "L'amore esiste"
The Crow was a big influence on Evanescence in the early days. One of their songs on the Origin album even closes with a quote from this movie. I hope you enjoy this and thanks again.

It's a great, atmospheric action movie to be sure. I think that all of the performances are uniformly good, but I especially enjoyed the trio at the top (Lee, Wincott, and Hudson.) Even the young actress that played Sarah defied the typical "child role" in the movie by being interesting instead of annoying. It's too bad that the sequels were so awful; they should have let the series sit until the memory of Brandon Lee had time to fade.

I haven't seen any of the sequels but I have heard they're not good.

I love The Crow, saw it twice at the cinema back in the day, bought all the comics and got a crow tattoo (taken from the cover of the soundtrack) bought the vhs, DVD and Blu-ray as they were released... Unfortunately yes, all the sequels are terrible - like really really terrible. Avoid them Crazy...!!

That Amy Lee number was lovely, thanks for posting both of these! I didn't know she and the band were influenced by The Crow -- learn something new every day!

I love this movie so much too! I've watched it probably well over 100 times. If you ask me abruptly what's my favourite movie I'll definitely say "The Crow", although there are, of course, many others I like a lot and recognize as having better, more complex stories and better rounded characters. But I love the aesthetics so much, all those gothic-like buildings, the darkness and rain, the empty streets at night, and Eric all clad in black, wearing that unsettling white make-up. I'm definitely strange, but that's what makes my heart sing in awe and delight in beauty. Besides, Brandon was so perfect for the role, he added a lot to it. I like the GN, but love the film.
