I just watched it, it was OK. I think she played Inuk's MIL. I believe she died two years later from a heart attack.

I'm a fan of Silent screen AMW, and hadn't realized she ever appeared in any film this far removed from the Silent era.

Starting in the early 50s she mostly appeared on TV. Funny though, this film does NOT appear on her IMDb page or her Wiki page.

Btw, you both probably have already seen it, but, in case not, a beautiful Anna May Wong quarter dollar silver coin was issued by the US Mint last year. I was just counting some change and was reminded of that fact.

Maybe it's another Anna Mae Wong, I just assumed it was the silent movie legend. Perhaps they forgot to list the film if it was her. According to film historians, the producer of Flower Drum Song wanted to cast her, but she passed away.

I think I saw a pic. She was also featured in the movie "Babylon" last year, which details 20's Hollywood. I wanted to see it,but heard it is kinda explicit and crude, I lost my interest after that.

I years ago picked up, from a thrift store, then looked through and partially read (then threw away, as didn't care for and wasn't impressed) the trash book Hollywood Babylon, that's largely made-up sensational garbage. I'm guessing the movie you've mentioned, of last year, was either based on or "inspired" by it.
Yeah, IMDb (likewise Wikipedia) definitely isn't definitive (or always entirely accurate), I've many times noticed. For sure is an excellent, and extensive, invaluable info resource though.
Regarding AMW, I've been meaning, for some time, to purchase the Milestone DVD of her 1929 film Piccadilly. I have other Silents that she appears in, though in just minor roles.

Under the "See also" portion of the Wiki article about the book, it does state the following, I noticed after posting the Hollywood Babylon link:
"Babylon, a 2022 film by Damien Chazelle depicting a fictionalized 1920s Hollywood that takes inspiration from claims featured in this book."
Also, I now see that the Wiki article about the 2022 film states, in its "See also" section:
"Hollywood Babylon: A 1965 Kenneth Anger book about the dark side of early Hollywood, including the false premise that Clara Bow bedded the entire University of Southern California football team, somewhat as Nellie LaRoy brings that team to a party, and the Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle–Virginia Rappe death scandal, resembling Babylon's Orville Pickwick–Jane Thornton storyline."

I don't believe I ever saw any of the AMW quarters prior to within just the last week or so, yet within that approx. period find I've suddenly wound up with two of them (one which I'll save as a souvenir). I don't know on what precise date the AMW quarter was put into public circulation.

It's in the 'See also' section because it depicts a similar time in Hollywood, not because Chazelle stated he used any part of the book as inspiration.

Yeah, that's what I earlier meant when I said, "I'm guessing the movie...was either based on or 'inspired' by it." (Wiki does make it sound, in both places, like aspects of the movie's story were inspired by the book.)

I read Hollywood Babylon years ago, I also heard there were many falsehoods in the book. Has anyone watched "Age of Vintage" or "Facts verse" on YT? Sometimes the subject matter focuses on silent stars. The first one did one on Anna. Interest in her has peaked over the years, hopefully there will be a biopic down the road,
