One of many things this movie did well was really make you hate the bad guy. Zolo was truly despicable perfection with an ongoing sense of dread every time he showed up. I was rooting for the gators as they were devouring him.

Pity it was never explained who or what he was or his connection to the story. But then those sorts of connections were never made for ANY of the characters.
And could that rubber alligator/crocodile that took his arm off have been more fake?
