Discuss The Good Son

Translation:

I don't understand the criticism

...(T)ell me why this movie is so poorly rated. I consider it a hell of a 90's movie. I need to review it (one more time), but I love it, the score, the story, it's dark and amazing. It's not politically correct, it's evil. I can't give enough praise for the movie.

I enjoyed it too. I’m not sure. To me, it began my fandom of Elijah Wood. I dig him in a lot of stuff throughout his career. Not a fan of LOTR though.

I see this film as the canonical succession to Kevin McCallister: he became a sociopath kid after getting a small taste of blood by butchering and maiming petty burglars in the Home Alone films.

I did see it years ago. Do not remember if I liked it or not. But the low ratings might have something to do with the fact that people didn't want to see 'Kevin McCallister' playing a psychopath?

My God, friend, that's true. I didn't stop to think about that possibility. It was the first movie after Home Alone 2. Good observation.

Thanks, I do remember it was a bit hard to look at that angelic face & watch the things that he did.
