People have wondered the same thing about Michael Myers from Halloween. He was institutionalized for 20 years and then the night he escapes he drives off like he's the wheel man at a bank robbery and also knowing the way to get back to Haddonfield 75 miles away. I think its just one of those things where you have to suspend your belief on some things. In Jeepers Creepers we need to see the device of him transporting bodies in his revved up up demon truck. Just adds the creep factor and the to scene with bro and sister behind him.

The entire movie is silly... the other problems with it are worse than what you brought up.
Also, not everyone takes their vehicles to a shop to work on them - they do it on their own.... getting much harder to do these days, but that truck was an old piece of crap. Now, towing it would be a new problem. :) I think the truck is for hauling the bodies though... also, why is he dumping bodies down a pipe during the DAY, NEXT TO A HIGHWAY. :) Just a rural, two lane highway, but still a highway.
