Spoilers

I had high hopes for this when I first saw the trailer. It appeared to have some serious ambition. Boy, was that trailer misleading.

This movie dismissed any pretense of trying to be serious or really explore fundamental questions in a realistically compelling manner. The absurdities came fast and furious early enough to realize I had to follow suit - just give up trying to be serious and enjoy the popcorn and campy scenes.

How Samuel L. Jackson's character gets it sets up nicely and is actually hilarious. And there were a few other scenes that, screenplay-wise, were fun to watch, no question about that. And...that's about it.

Agree 100% !!! Always enjoyable, and good for a laugh!

It's so good... You could tell they had all the ingredients to make it a serious Sci-Fi movies with that cast and that budget... I'm glad they went the dumb and fun route!

What a ride!
