South Park was slowly moving out of the relevance in the second decade of this century. And while the first decade after the millennium brought the best and the wildest side out of Matt and Trey and the show was a must see every episode, the second decade was mostly boring, unfunny and many times just not interesting. I guess this is how married couples feel after 20 years together. And having new and cool kid on the block show like Rick and Morty didn't help either.
They desperately needed something new, and after it already seemed too late to save anything from South Park they came up with Post Covid, and it is awesome. Deciding to take that angle to the story and showing the grownup versions of the kids just made it fresh and opened huge amounts of options to take the story to. And it feels like Matt and Trey are having fun again after a decade of depression and repetitive boring routine. The story has very dark moments, great humor and super amusing references. Suddenly I feel like I am discovering South Park all over again. I hope they will continue in the same way with the second part, now I am really intrigued.

lol, dude... first, it's a satire. Second, your opinion whom to blame is irrelevant, we are talking about movies and TV shows here, this is not /pol/

I haven't seen this episode yet so can't judge. But whatever your opinion is on this matter, South Park criticizes everything. Parker and Stone point their finger in every direction. That's why they're celebrated and necessary.
