Haven't seen A Separation yet. I should do. It's prob it's lengthy running time that's holding me back.

Ok... I just looked it up and it's not actually that long. I must be confusing it with something else.

A Separation is one of the best films of the past few years. A truly riveting experience.

I haven't had a chance to see The Past yet - it wasn't given a cinema release in Singapore and my library doesn't have a copy. I really need to catch up with it.

Farhadi's more recent The Salesman is a good one, too, although it can't touch A Separation.

How much did you like Snowpiercer? I have the Blu-Ray but I can't seem to get past the first 20 minutes. Does it get better?

I loved it as a brilliantly-paced thriller. Action movies are really not my thing but this was a very good one indeed. To be fair, it's a bit of a drop from my top three to the rest of my list for this year. But Snowpiercer is one worth sticking with.

Weird I left a response to your post but it disappeared. I guess I'll try again.

Thanks rudely (& the others) for your thoughts. I bought the movie because of who the director was. But I'll give it another go (third times a charm?).
