A young woman collapses on the disco dance floor of what's revealed to be strychnine poisoning. Kelly McIntire, una atractiva joven, sufre un colapso en una discoteca envenenada con estricnina. Todo forma parte de un plan asesino, pero un médico y el novio de la chica, pensando que se trata de un intento de suicidio, la envían a la quinta planta de un hospital psiquiátrico.
