Discuss Enola Holmes 2

It does start out better than the original Enola Holmes movie and I was delighted to see that the Mycroft character was not in this since the portrayal of Mycroft and Sherlock in the first movies were the worst depictions if said characters so far on cinema. Unfortunately they apparently did not cut out Mycroft because he was such a crappy character, but because the actor wasn't available. Anyways, it does start out interesting, but this being a Netflix production and 2022 it ends up being a rather monotonous marathon of how women are just as capable as men and how patriarchy is keeping women down, which I suppose is somewhat historically accurate, but they could've at least done it in less ham-fisted way and the audience doesn't need to be reminded of said topic every few minutes. Speaking of ham-fisted I loved the scene where the lead actress is dangling from a balcony and sees some boy in an adjacent apartment and ends up changing his dress with the boy's clothes just so we can see the boy dress up in the dress because we all know how normal that is and we also need to be reminded of that in just about every movie these days. Then there's Moriarty (and certain other key characters), but I don't want to spoil anything about the movie so I won't comment on that any more. Anywho I felt the movie was way too long with its 2hours and 10 minutes runtime and felt a lot of the scenes could've ended up on the cutting floor and that includes all those pointless flashbacks and pretty much all of Helena Bonham Carter's scenes just to mention a few.
