Discuss Miami Vice

I unfairly compared this to Heat in the cinema, but a decade later it holds up very well as its own creature. Mann combines his eye and ear for procedural detail with his very textured artistry - making Miami a character of its own - salty seas, warm breezes through palm trees, humid thunder storms, ice cold mojitos. A seductive blue paradise that leaves you behind, haunting you... until your next viewing.

I remember being well hyped for this when it was coming out. It was so disappointing. The characters wooden and Mann's choice to shoot on digital just didn't work for it the way it did for Collateral.

EGO FILLED CONVOLUTED CRAP.
