Wow. Did not disappoint. This film doesn't hold your hand you have to pay attention. When I slowly figured out what was going on it was horrifying. What a great slow burn.
I'll make a couple movie-universe observations that I know to be true: The scenes with seductive Kristian Stewart and Viggo Mortensen are wonderful tributes to The Big Sleep. Timlin is Carmen Sternwood as Saul Tenser is the older yet still magnetic Philip Marlowe. "She tried to sit on my lap while I was standing up." Stewart needs to do more sexy/squirrely roles.
And the two bed tech/killers seem to be daughters of Wint and Kidd. Took a minute to figure out what they were about but it's clear nearly everyone is undercover trying to squash news and advances of evolution.
Léa Seydoux is stunning. Points for seeing Viggo and Lea with their real teeth.
Be warned there's some disturbing things in this and I'm not just talking about eating plastic.
Never though of rapid evolution to be horrifying but it would be, right?
