Faithful remake of the original - but if you are going to make a film with a child as the focus - at least get a child who can act. This kid did nothing but lower his eyebrows and scowl - the dogs did a better job. As one previous poster asked - why was the priest a servant of the devil - I wondered the same - a reply said he wasn't - but he had the mark of the beast as a birthmark so that meant he was - that was a needless confusion. Mia Farrow proved what any hospital patient knows - you can press for help til you turn blue - nobody comes. I wondered why Kate had hanging baskets in such dangerous positions - and how she could possibly have survived that fall. I hoped that the photographer would stop chewing - but it took being beheaded to achieve that. It seemed to me that if Robert had killed the kid in the house it would have worked - but oh no - he simply had to drive it to a church and wait until he had finished praying before attempting to kill it. It occurs to me that if Damien wanted all that Robert had then maybe Robert should have written a new will and disinherited him - it would have been an easier option they might have survived.

I'm a big fan of NOT remaking classics. I don't see the point, and they're usually worse.

I watched my entire Omen Scream Factory Blu Ray Collection and in keeping with your subject line, I agree...this was ALMOST at the "Psycho Remake" level...scene by scene remake, its practically the same film with different actors. Liev Schreiber seemed to phone it in though...he's a GREAT actor (he IS Ray Donovan), but here he was dullsville!
