I am a fan of the book. And I never saw this movie. From what I can tell from the trailer, Zachary doesn't look like an actual fat kid with a less convincing fat suit. When I remenber he wore short sleeve shirts.

And I'm very possitive that Toby and Zachery didn't go on any road trip to find Paulie.

Plus I heard and notice it doesn't take place during the Vietnam War. Cause Zachary wasn't playing a handheld game in the trailer like in the book where he was watching Tv. Cal's brother died in the Vietnam war and here the gulf war.

So am I missing any other details on the changes on the book? Cause from what I learn it looks more than 78% different from the original book which is one of my favorite realistic fiction books.
