movie without him would be much stronger, I had it coming when they told them they have found blood, no problem to believe Rachel Weisz, but then they show Wahlberg who ruin the scene, later in the movie he was fine but his acting at this scene he just ruined it
overal nice movie with great atmosphere giving me chills even after rewatching, though that happy end kiss felt over the top and death of murderer seemed too easy for him for what he has done
seem they had never found her body to bury her properly or you think with proper investigation with announcement in media, guy from sinkhole or the wird classmate contacted later police that murderer was there and they discovered the safe?

Ryan Gosling was originally cast in the movie as Daddy Salmon. He quit or got fired a few weeks into it. Wahlburg was last minute replacement for that role. The books ending is so different from the movie.
