Discuss Zack Snyder's Justice League

That is about the best thing I can say about this version. I would need too much time to write about all the bad casting, bad storyline, really bad effects, and really pathetic character profiles. DCU and Zack just can't seem to make this work into a descent movie. DC has classic comics, but are failing miserably trying to make movies. This is a perfect example of why DCU will fail miserably.

to enjoy the film you must be a good comic reader and know this world, I don't know if you are, but I respect your opinion; I was personally fascinated by it because it actually makes a good approach to the world from the comics and as a fan, Zack Snyder did it. excellent movie

It is better than Joss Whedon's version, but I suppose that doesn't take much. Unfortunately I think Snyder made a poor decision and kept the whole idea of resurrection of Superman pretty much as it was in Whedon's version. It should probably be a big moment in the film, but unfortunately in Whedon's version and in Snyder's version (since they didn't really change anything) it's just another mediocre MEH moment in the movie. Basically they go from not even talking the character of Superman in the movie to suddenly looking at the magic box and thinking 'hey let's resurrect him' and they all go like 'sure why not' and five minutes later they are already well under way to resurrecting them. There is pretty much zero build up to the moment and I believe it is a big squandered opportunity once again. It also looks like Snyder did the same mistake with the music that Whedon did. It's pretty much just the most generic and forgettable stuff you will come across.

I thought the movie benefited from other movies that would have come after (i.e. Wonder Woman and Aquaman), so wouldn't have worked at the time it was supposed to have been put out. However, the main critiques I have of it was that Flash intro was severely cringy (I didn't realize he was such a perv), the CGI only benefited from the muted color pallet otherwise it would have been so easy to spot just how bad it was, and Zach quit with the endless slo-mos. Slow motion is supposed to be used when highlighting something is important, however when you're using it all the frick'n time nothing becomes important. I swear the runtime would lose an hour just by cutting most of the slow motions in this film.

The whole Flash character is pretty cringy in these DC movies. They are trying too hard to make him some kind a comedic wisecracking spiderman-lite, but the end result is more like spiderman-trite. None of his comments are even close to being funny or witty.

Having now finished the movie I feel I should say that while I don't think it was ultimately too much of an improvement over Whedon's version, since they pretty much kept all the same bad parts in both versions, I did think the ending was vastly superior in this. At least there was some kind of a build up to the next movie and at least now those flashback scenes from the previous movie make some sense.

Just so you know, ALL ya'll are in the MINORITY, this movie is breaking the internet and is one of the BEST comic book movies EVER! Its what happens when a director is allow to complete a vision WITHOUT studio interference, which is a rarity! My only complaints were, yes, some of the CGI looked a little on the cheap side, and the multiple endings didn't give it a proper "finish", but outside of that it was practically perfect and the Joss Whedon cut is now, irrelevant.

If somebody likes/loves the Snyder version all the power to them. It does have good ratings at the moment, but that tends to happen with most anticipated and hyped movies and the score tends to even out over time to something more realistic. I remember watching that POS Jason Bourne (2016) movie and thinking to myself good god that really was a turd of a movie and going to a certain well known movie site and seeing it sitting there with something like 9+ review score and people praising it to high heaven. Today it seems to be 6.6, which I do honestly think is still too high, but at least a bit more realistic. Snyder cut seems to be sitting in at 8.5, but probably a year from now it will be seven something or less.

Anyways, out of interest, Jorgito2001, what did you think of the original Joss Whedon version? I think that when you take away a lot of the meaningless fluff that seems like it was just crammed in the movie for fan service, I don't think the end result really differs all that much from Whedon's version. The major scenes and plot are mostly the same and a lot of the stuff Snyder added doesn't really add anything to the movie. For example the whole Martian Manhunter scenes and Darkseid, who doesn't really do anything except show up in that flashback. I'm starting to think I may have been wrong to badmouth Whedon for his version because it is starting to look like the script and plot were always the problem.

As someone who read comics most of my life, i have to disagree. Snyder gave us a emo Superman who dosn't give a sh!t about human life.. Unless its his mom or the women he wants to bang. Plus hes constantly complaining that people expect him to help them. And he gave us a Batman who goes around branding people and killing people with cars. And really all the good DCEU movies didn't start getting made until Snyder got the boot. As far as Zack Snyders Justice league. I just found it to be boring.

Not really. Not being dismissive, you're allowed to an opinion and I'm not going to disagree with you, it's just that I don't care either way. I'm not a huge fan of Whedon or Snyder although I prefer Snyder's version of JL simply because it cleared some things up (4 hours will do that for ya) and IMO was just a better movie. I don't think it's an epic masterpiece (although I don't think it's garbage either) but I guess that's mainly because I'm not a huge fan of comic book movies in general. I mainly watched this out of curiosity.

I agree with you, except about the proper finish. It just left me wanting more of the Snyderverse.

First off, I'm more of a DC fan. I'd rather watch a mediocre DC movie over an epic Marvel movie, any day. I grew up on DC. I watched Superfriends and Justice League, on Saturday mornings, in the 70s and 80s. I've waited a long time to see a live action movie version. I watched this movie 3 times within a week. I loved it!!! I did like the original and I also loved BvS.

I see people saying it's the same movie as Jostice League. Umm, no it's not. There is character development, more teamwork, more fight scenes and everyone has a role to play. Snyder doesn't make the Flash inept and useless. He saves everything!!! Cyborg is awesome and we get to see his story. Superman wore the black outfit.

I'm not totally blind to it's faults. The first 45 minutes were slow. The choice of music was off. Some Aquaman scenes didn't need to be added. I still think they need a better Flash. The CGI wasn't the greatest. I didn't like how Batman just tended to the trash mobs.

It seems, to me, that WB sabotage their own movies. They wanted Justice League lighter, funnier with no black Superman suit. They don't know their own characters. DC is not Marvel!!! I'm just disappointed that Snyder's vision won't continue on.
