Today the sad news was announced that Rutger Hauer probably best know to World wide audiences for playing Roy Batty in Blade Runner has died last Friday. Rutger was 75 and died after a short period of illness . R.I.P. Rutger Hauer

I've seen many TV shows and movies from all over the world. "Floris (1969)" was the first show I saw from the Netherlands, and Rutger Hauer was the first Dutch actor. A true star in his own right.

Rutger Hauer totally stole the show from Harrison, he made Blade Runner as it is. He left behind probably the best Sci-Fi scene of all time.

I always like Rutger Hauer - I am sad to hear of his death. It is said he scripted those dying lines in Blade Runner - very memorable and moving.

That is correct he came up with those line he actually came up with a lot of additional dialogue during the filming of BR.

It was a much longer speech as written. Rutger cut it down and added "tears in the rain"

Well not only in that scene but also when they visit the Chinese guy he talks about the fires of Orc he came up with that stuff as well.
