Two brothers with different personalities, one bold and impulsive the other serious and introverted, separate their lives after their father's death, to converge again time after to share a common interest for the same woman, yet for very different reasons.

Dos hermanos de caracteres muy diferentes se disputan el amor de la misma mujer. La historia empieza cuando la familia regresa desde Cuba a España y, en un enfrentamiento con unos bandoleros, el padre es asesinado. A partir de aquí, los hermanos Darío y Lauro siguen caminos distintos. Mientras el primero, de fuerte personalidad, se marcha a recorrer el mundo sin rumbo fijo, Lauro se queda con su madre para cuidarla.
